It is with heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our dear friend and board member, Bonnie McGrath. Bonnie was a treasured member of the Project Onward family, whose dedication, kindness, and passion for our mission touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Bonnie’s unwavering support and guidance were instrumental in shaping Project Onward into the vibrant community it is today. Her sharp mind, compassionate spirit, and infectious enthusiasm inspired us all. Beyond her contributions as a board member, Bonnie was a friend to many- always ready with a kind word, a listening ear, or a heartfelt laugh.

She was beyond curious, especially with politics, and was a wealth of knowledge about so many things.

We will deeply miss Bonnie’s presence, but her legacy will continue to live on in the work we do and in the countless lives she impacted.

During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Bonnie’s family, especially her daughter Molly, brother Robert Taman, mother Cecelia Taman, and life partner Bruce Oltman.

Please join us in honoring her memory by continuing the work she cared about so deeply, not only with us but with Intuit, Art Encounter, The Lyric Opera, and Glessner House.

Rest in peace, Bonnie. You will always remain in our hearts.

With love and gratitude,

Nancy Gomez and the Project Onward Team

A Memorial for Bonnie will be held by Project Onward at an undetermined date in the following months.
