October 15 – November 1, 2015
In partnership with ADA 25 Chicago and Chicago Artists Month, Project Onward presents When I Paint My Masterpiece, an expansive exhibition that celebrates both the 25th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Chicago Artists Month. When I Paint My Masterpiece reveals the vibrant creativity at work in studio programs for artists with disabilities throughout the Chicagoland area, including Esperanza Community Services, The Arts of Life, Envision Unlimited, The Artists of Thresholds Bridge South, and Little City Center for the Arts. The exhibition features paintings, drawings, textile constructions, and mixed-media sculpture from over 50 artists representing six disability studios. Join us for a VIP first look reception and showcase on Thursday, October 15 at 6 pm! And check out all four days of Masterpiece programming here.
When I Paint My Masterpiece is supported by a grant from The Chicago Community Trust.
