Ms. Beaird is an SAIC Intern serving at Project Onward. She worked closely with the artists prior to and during the design and production of the book and received funding from the Awesome Foundation of Chicago to support the publication.  Work featured in the PHOENIX OF CHICAGO is by Project Onward artists Alfred Banks, Ken Bortman, Ruby Bradford, Michael Bryant, Stephon Doby, Bill Douglas, James Hall, Michael Hopkins, David Hence, Adam Hines, Blake Lenoir, Janno Juguilon, RJ Juguilon, Sheila Smith, Ricky Willis and George Zuniga.

These individuals worked collaboratively, along with Ms. Beaird and SAIC’s Joan Flasch, to select a theme, create a format and, finally, make and sign a very fine book.  On October 21, Ms. Beaird will be at Project Onward to add her signature to the volumes, which are on sale at Project Onward.  Proceeds benefit the artists.  Call (773) 940-2992 for more information.
