Saturday, August 20, the Board of Directors and friends of Project Onward hosted a fundraiser at Moxee & MadMouse Brewery on Maxwell Street in Chicago.  DJ Chris Freihaut spun mood-setting tunes at the popular UIC- area eatery – 724 W Maxwell (near Halsted).  The generous menu included beer, wings, chicken kabobs, veggie quesadillas, mini burgers and desserts.

This celebration had a very serious purpose – to benefit the immensely talented artists of Project Onward. It costs nearly $7,000 per artist per year to supply materials, studio space and exhibition and sales opportunities.  Services and supplies are provided FREE OF CHARGE to professional artists challenged with autism, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia and other conditions.  Proceeds of this event helped defray the cost of sustaining the artists – so they can continue creating their best.
