Andrew Hall: Bronzeville To Bavaria
Andrew Hall is making his mark on the art world, traveling from Bronzeville to Bavaria, to design new public art for the Chicago Transit Authority’s 47th Street Red Line Station. Go behind the scenes of the artist’s CTA project, Portraits in Time: Bronzeville to Back of the Yards, and view new artwork inspired by Andrew’s trip to Munich, Germany, where he spent a week working with engineers and designers preparing to transform his art into the glasswork that will be installed at the station. And don’t miss this chance to see a special collection of Andrew’s other works, from early graphite drawings to some of his latest creations–including beautiful scenes of Chicago’s neighborhood art and architecture– all captured with astounding precision. On view in the Spotlight Gallery through February 14, 2015.
